Before installing an operating system, Secure Boot must be activated. If an operating system was installed while Secure Boot was turned off, it will not support Secure Boot and must be reinstalled.

Your computer system and antivirus will be able to function properly with Secure Boot disabled if you don’t already have any malware. However, if your computer system has existing viruses and malware and Secure boot is disabled, your antivirus software will not be able to protect your Windows 10 PC.
