How to add someone to a group message? (2022)

Technology is evolving with a blink of an eye to make our experience easier. Messages are a way through which we stay connected to the rest of the world. Be it sending a message for an urgent meeting or inviting your friend for a house-party, messages does its work prominently.

Before, when group messages weren’t a part of our technology, we had to send individual messages to persons to get the work done. But now it’s hassle free with group messages. You can also call it “Broadcast messages”. You just need to type the message once rather than typing it again and again.

So, this article is to make you aware of the group message features you have in your phone – both Android and iOS.

Platform 1: Android

Follow the below steps to add someone to a group message:

From the drop-down menu, Tap on Details.

Step 5

Under Add People, tap on the add symbol.

Step 6

Type the name of the person you wish to add.

Step 7

Tap on Next in the upper right corner.

Step 8

This will take to set your group’s name if you want. You can skip that as well. Then, you are done.

Platform: iOS

Follow the below steps to add someone in a group message:

Step 1

Go to the Messages app. Tap to open it.

Step 2

Tap on the New Message icon in the top-right corner.

Step 3

Type the names of the persons you want to add in the group text. There is an Icon available tapping on which you can add people browsing through your contacts.

Step 4

Type the message you want to send. You are to type it only once.

Step 5

Tap on the upward arrow button to send the message.

Suppose, you wish to add someone in an existing conversation:

Step 1

Go to the Messages App and tap on it.

Step 2

Select the conversation where you wish to add the person.

Step 3

Tap on the Details icon (which looks like a circle with “i” inside it).

Step 4

Tap on Add Contacts.

Step 5

In the Add field, type the names of the person you wish to add (if the numbers are saved in your phone) or you need to type the whole number of the recipient.

Step 6

Tap on Done to finish the job.
